This is one of only two photos of Caroline that I have. I went to her house after her funeral, expecting to be able to copy some files off her computer so that I could carry on the Diary business and also, perhaps, take some small item to remember her by; instead the woman in charge (her executor) absolutely refused to let me touch anything. (I wasn’t even allowed to copy anything off the computer because it was “private”, but she said she would arrange to have somebody copy the files and send them to me; I later discovered that she had simply given the PC to a friend who had had the disk wiped. ::shrug::) One of the many people clearing the house that day was good enough to let me take away some small photos, which I unfortunately seem to have lost since. This particular photo was sent to me later by Malcolm Snape, one of her cousins.
My archive of Elfin Diaries only go back to 1994. If anybody has any of the earlier Ds (1990 – 1993), I’d be very happy to take them off your hands! Caroline’s own Diary archives, btw, went into a skip when her house was cleared.
